Keterangan Tambahan:ABSTRACT: The cone penetration test (CPT) offers enhanced benefits for liquefaction assessment over its predecessor the standard penetration test (SPT). However, soil ageing, which affects the cyclic resistance ratio (CRR) is difficult, if not impossible, to evaluate using the CPT due to disturbance during the test. This situation may lead to excessively conservative estimation of CRR values from the CPT method. This paper presents and discusses liquefaction assessment using the CPT as recommended by the 1996 National Center for Earthquake Engineering Research (NCEER) and 1998 NCEER/NSF Workshops. In addition, a suggested ageing correction factor introduced in 2008 is included. Finally, the results of a liquefaction assessment using the CPT method at a field study site at Gillman, South Australia are presented.
